Georgia Landscape "Skipping The Light Fantastic" by Georgia Artist Deanna Jaugstetter

When choosing a title for this oil landscape painting, I immediately thought of how the light dances along the ground in a melodic pattern! "Skipping The Light Fantastic" is a term for dancing nimbly! The painting is framed ready to make an impression in your built ins, end table, or hung in a special place in your home!

Georgia Landscape, Tree Art Painting "Rebirth of Spring" by Georgia Artist Deanna Jaugstetter

"Rebirth of Spring" is a landscape watercolor painting created from several of my photographs. I love the misty feeling of the background with the crispness of application of the tree trunk in the foreground. I hope the painting evokes a memory and/ or pleasant thoughts!

Bird Oil Painting "The Perfect Perch II" by Georgia Artist Deanna Jaugstetter

FRESH OFF THE EASEL....

Birds bring a lot of enjoyment to human beings! It is exciting to see them at the bird feeder in my garden! In the southern portion of the United States we often see the Robin. A chubby little Robin outside my art studio is the inspiration for my wildlife oil painting on canvas titled "The Perfect Perch". The vertical orientation of the canvas in "The Perfect Perch" gives you a feeling of being outdoors, looking up into the trees at the precious bird!

New Orleans Landscape by Contemporary Kristye Addison Dudley

St Charles Street © Kristye Addison Dudley
8" x 10"  Watercolor and Ink on Paper Purchase Prints

My husband and I enjoyed a Music Festival each night during our trip to New Orleans. The nights were loud and full of dancing. The days, however, were filled with relaxing walks through the Garden District. The old trees stretched across quite streets and wrapped us in light shadows in the hot summer heat. We had such an amazing trip, we can't wait to go back.

Be blessed,
Kristye

St Charles Trolley Landscape by Contemporary Kristye Addison Dudley

St Charles Trolley © Kristye Addison Dudley
10" x 8" Watercolor and Ink on Paper Purchase Prints
This is the second sketch from our vacation in New Orleans this summer. We were able to walk out of our hotel and catch the trolley right on St Charles Street. This historic street is one of the main routes of the Mardi Gras Parade and has traces of beads in the tree lined streets all year round. The sights and sounds of the city were mesmerizing. We can't wait to go back.

Be blessed,
Kristye

4" x 6" Acrylic on Paper with Pallet Knife Purchase Prints
I am working on a large commission and at the end of my session I decided to create a work with the colors on my pallet. It was a fun challenge and I decided to paint wildflowers and then I started painted in purple. So violets appeared in the painting too. It just might be my next challenge.

Have a blessed day,

Landscape Study Costa Rica by Contemporary Figurative Fine Artist Kristye Addison Dudley

Detail of Landscape Study © Kristye Addison Dudley

Day 29 - Detail of landscape study

This is a detail of a portrait I am working on for a commission.

I used pallet knives and brushes to create the foliage. More work to do on some of the finer details, but I do like where it's going.

One more day in this 30 day challenge!

Day 9 of the 30 Paintings in 30 Days Challenge -"Clemson Caboose"

I grew up in Clemson, SC and we had a train in the Botanical Garden that I used to love playing on it. One of my old friends suggested I paint some work about Clemson. So, I am going to do some hometown inspired work. Today I painted a detail of the little red caboose.

Day 7 - Spring Sunset © Kristye Addison Dudley 10" x 8"
Acrylic on Canvas Paper Purchase Prints

Hello, It's Day 7 of a 30 Paintings in 30 Days Challenge. I very much have a case of Spring Fever and we had another day of heavy rain, so I was inspired to paint a cherry blossom in bloom, high on a hill during a warm sunset. Painted using the pallet knife to create layers of color and texture.
